CPBA Annual Chicken Barbeque

Years ago, the The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce started the tradition of the Memorial Day Chicken Barbeque to help pay for the municipal swimming pool. Many years later - with the pool paid for - CPBA still sponsors the annual event. The day begins at 11am with a parade organized by the Legion Post #245 followed by a service at the Legion Hall. Immediately following the service is the chicken barbeque, served from about 12:30 to 4:30 by the many Association volunteers. There are activities for the whole family: the opening of the pool for the first day of the season, the nearby skate park, pie and ice cream sale sponsored by the Cross Plains Stingrays swim team, a beer tent, DJ and entertainment, and a clown to entertain both young and old. The proceeds of this event are used to fund community projects. This long-standing tradition is a source of pride for all involved and a great community event. Cross Plains World's Fair

In 1999 the Cross Plains World's Fair Committee made plans to hold a major community festival sponsored by seven of the local community organizations (Cross Plains American Legion Post 245, The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce, Cross Plains Lions, Cross Plains Optimists, Knights of Columbus, Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion) along with the Village of Cross Plains. The event was such a huge success that the committee decided to make the World's Fair an annual event to be held on the last full weekend in June at Baer Park. The event features entertainment for the entire family, including: carnival, baseball tournament, food, beer tent, live music, games and raffles, fireworks, and much, much more. Proceeds from the event are distributed to the sponsoring community organizations and are used to fund community projects. Make plans to join us for this great festival!

The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Outing

Join us on July 23, 2008 and enjoy a day of networking, golfing and supporting our community. The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing is held at beautiful Lake Wisconsin Country Club. The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner

The 2008 annual dinner will be held in April at the Hilltop Inn. Join us for some great networking opportunities!
