The Village of Cross Plains owns and maintains 25 acres of developed parks, including Municipal Park where you can enjoy the swimming pool, skateboard park, ball diamonds, playground, park shelter and picnic areas. 

Baer park has lighted ball diamonds, volleyball court, tennis courts, ice skating rink, playground, park shelter and picnic areas. There are five lovely neighborhood parks with play equipment, landscaped areas and open play and picnic areas. The village also owns 81 acres of conservancy park areas. Park shelters and pool can be rented for special occasions by
calling (608) 798-4500.

Village recreational program offerings are announced as formulated through the News Sickle Arrow and come home with all K-8 school age children through the schools. There are summer and winter offerings which includes many sports and activities for children and adults.

The Cross Plains Stingrays swim team is a very active swim team for youth to age 18.  For more information on specific areas or activities please call the village recreation department at (608) 798-4500 or the village office at  (608) 798-3241.  St. Francis youth football is available for area youth from grade 4 through grade 8. The Cross Plains Area Chamber of Commerce is the proud sponsor of the Cross Plains Home Talent baseball team which boasts a state championship in 1977 and a night league state championship in 1979.

Black Earth Creek
